Foggy Mornings and Evenings

Fogs are basically low lying clouds. Some fogs are thick, Others aren't as thick. Some fogs are so thick that you can't even drive in them. If you here that a fog advisory has been issued, don't be fooled. Listen to the percautions and do it. Drive Safe.

I'm going to a Flicker meeting this weekend with Dad. Hope that at least 2 pictures on my camera turn out pretty good. I had taken a picture with Dad acting like he was about to box the computer! LOL!!! Another picture of Anna and Clara and Adeliade. Lucia wouldn't even let me take even one picture. :-C

Weather of 2009

The weather of 2009 was very wet in spring and early summer with 2 tornado warning and 1 gustnado.(See The Disaster,) 2 hail storms. The late summer was very very hot with tons of heat advisorys. Got up to 105 that summer. Early fall had a few Thunderstorms and highs got up to 60 degrees F. Late fall had Some freezing rain and a little bit of snow.

Grandmother's house we go! Yup, I'm tellin the truth. We are going over the river and through the woods. The Arkansas River is the river we are going to cross and through herman hill park is has lots of trees so I would call that a wood. Our Great-Grandma is coming to wichita next week from LA, Shrevport. SOOOoooo exited!!!!

Forcast for the week

The forcast for the week is going to be very nice. Last year around this time it was pretty cold but this year it is going to be warmer than usual. Wed. Sunny. Temp. in the 60's. Thur. Sunny. Temp. in the 60's. Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

The Disaster

OK, this is a true story. If you don't believe me ask my sisters and parents. Well I better start with the story.

The Disaster

It was about 5:00pm in the afternoon and me and mom were driving home from an appointment. Mom asked me to get a hold of dad with her cell. It took 5 minutes for me to get a hold of him. When I got home I sat down and read a book. I looked up and the wind outside was slowly gathering speed. I went over to window and looked out. The wind was really going. '' Are we going to get a thunderstorm?'' I asked Dad.

'' Maybe.'' was the only answer I got. I looked back and the wind was howling!!! I heard footsteps running down the hallway. ''There's a Tornado on Glenn!!! Get down in the Basement!!!!'' screamed Mom. The howling was much louder now mixed in with the screaming of my sisters. I turned back and looked out again and I saw dust and debrie flying!!! One second and I was gone into the basement. When I got downstairs, I asked Mom I million questions. Each one was answered ''No.'' or '' I didn't wait to see what it was.'' Then Dad called us up and when I got upstairs I looked out the window and saw a lot of damage. But we were safe and our house was still standing.

Winter weather

It looks like winter might have come to wichita at last!!! We have a 80% chance of snow tonight, tomorrow, and tomorrow night. We might get up to 3 to 4 inches of snow and then it will be sunny again!!! Also be careful if you are going to centrel Ks this week because they are having a lot of snow this week. Be sure to look at my blog post about what to do if you are caught in a snowstorm.
