If your car gets stuck:
1.Tie a bright cloth to the antenna and raise it high so rescuers can find you.
2. If your car has no antenna, use a pole or fishing rod.
3. As you sit keep your blood moving.
4.Run the car engine for 10 minutes every hour, keep windows opened a little bit to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. You may be stranded for a long time.
5. Leave ceiling light on at night so you can be seen.
What to do if you are at home:
1. Stay inside.
2. Have a supply of food.
3. Find your battery operated radio and some spare batteries.
4.Save and clean 2 - liter soda bottles or 1 large water container for each family member.
If you MUST go out in a snowstorm wear:
1. Wear mittens. they are warmer than gloves.
2. Wear several layers of heavy garments and a wind breaker.
3.Wear a hood that covers your mouth.
4. Wear a hat and earmuffs.
5. If you MUST go out, fasten a lifeline to you and the house.
